Product information "FILSON Dry Roll-top Tote Bag Flame"

The Dry Roll-Top Tote Bag combines 100% waterproof protection with sleek design. The rolled-up top, when cinched down with the side buckle straps, prevents water ingress so your load stays dry.

The tough 840-denier nylon tarpaulin material is coated with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) so water simply cannot penetrate. The advantages of using a nylon material with this coating are light weight, flexibility and abrasion resistance. The highly flexible TPU coating is resistant to ultraviolet light and chemicals and ensures a long life without being destroyed by hard wear. The seams are high-frequency welded, a cement-free process that permanently welds the layers of material together, ensuring flexible integrity without flaws. All webbing and padding is securely stitched to an additional layer of the waterproof fabric, which is then RF welded to the body of the bag. This is the same construction used in the manufacture of whitewater rafting equipment where failure of the equipment can have fatal consequences.

Filson

Luggage from Filson in Seattle withstands the toughest demands. Already in the last great gold rush at Klondike at the end of the 19th century, Filson products were among the favourites of the gold prospectors of the time due to their exceptional robustness. The luggage consists of a particularly heavy, densely woven cotton twill (746 g/m²), which has been made water-resistant by treatment with a special paraffin wax. Zippers and other metal parts are made of corrosion-resistant brass, all leather applications are made of particularly strong vegetable-tanned cowhide leather. The bags are still manufactured in Filson's factory in Seattle. For cleaning, wipe or brush with a damp sponge. Do not wash, do not dry clean. The zippers may be a little difficult to move at first, but this will wear off over time; the saddle leather also becomes softer with use.
