An elephant was probably the inspiration for the name of this type of washing. The color is indefinable - something between mud, grey and green - but the shoe's definitely look cool. Thanks to the butter-soft elk leather and the equally soft calfskin as lining, the shoe is very comfortable. The 50744 made of elk leather is completely washed, similar to jeans - stonewashed, and then air dried slowly. It is the "high art" to treat the leather during washing so that it does not get hard and the shoe keeps its fit. The shoemakers at Shoto master this like no one else. Various further dyeing and working steps lead the shoe to this special "Elephant Wash".

In the 'Stoned Washed' process, the shoes, which are treated with abrasive stones, acquire an authentic vintage look. The use of first class horse, elk, antelope and calf leather, in combination with the best Italian leather soles, create a unique shoe of the finest quality.

In the 'Stoned Washed' process, the shoes, which are treated with abrasive stones, gain an authentic vintage look. The final finish brings out the unique characteristics - the gradients and shades.
