Alessandro Pungetti and Paul Harvey have a vision for their brand. Unlike other big fashion companies, they don't turn a blind eye to the environmental impact and exploitation caused by fast-moving trends. Their approach is the other way around! Ten C sees fashion as craftsmanship, created in careful steps and with respect for people and nature. In particular, the label refers to traditional crafts from Japan. The designers like to refer to Hans Christian Andersen. Andersen's fairy tales show how important it is to look behind the façade and learn to distinguish true content from pretended values. How is this achieved in fashion?
For example, through transparency with regard to individual work steps. What material is used and where is it processed? The founders call the fabric for Ten C Field Jacket, Parka Navy and Fishtail "The Fabric". This refers to a microfibre made of nylon and polyester developed in Japan, which is further processed in Italy. Here, the original Japanese Jersey, OJJ for short, is then cut into shape, dyed through and transformed into casual as well as perfectly fitting garments.
What you feel and see is the experience of Alessandro Pungetti and Paul Harvey. Before founding Ten C, they both worked together at C.P. Company. Harvey, the designer (1994-2008 for Stone Island), and Pungetti, the experienced craftsman, form one unit.
