The Negroni
The NEGRONI is and remains a classic aperitif and, of course, comes from the country to which we owe the aperitif culture - Bella Italia! What a rather accidental creation from 1920 can achieve: Fame, honour, enthusiasm and at least a third of the "Triple Crown". Nobody would have believed that much etiquette to the classic drinks, together with the Manhattan and the Martini cocktail the Negroni also got a spark of nobility and you can taste it.
Its bright colour, bitter taste and sweet notes ensure that the drink is always en vogue despite its vintage character. We keep him in the fast lane and offer him the opportunity to conquer even more hearts.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: seductively mild bouquet with a hint of honey and an echo of herbs, rich in spices, hints of berries, sloes and plums, with notes of dried basil and olive oil.
Flavour: velvety soft, predominant cherry and rhubarb, hints of juniper and gentian, with a hint of different spices and some oak, wine-like, with a delicate appearance of lavender and violet.
Finish: a very interesting, long finish of steamed fruits, rose petals and a hint of figs.
Overall: full and intense, with an exciting taste.
Contents: Gin, Italian bitter liqueur, red wormwood 0.7 litres, 27.3% vol., orange zest, orange oil.
Sizes: 700 ml and 50 ml (test sizes = for 2 cocktails)
Preparation: Pour into a tumbler glass filled with ice cubes and stir well. Add a Zeste to the drink. To finish, sprinkle the cocktail with the aroma spray once.
