The Rob Roy
It strongly reminds one of Manhattan when one looks at its composition, and yet the two are completely different. As you know, you can't compare apples and pears. According to a widespread story, the ROB ROY is named after Robert MacGregor, the Scottish Robin Hood. However, it could also be named after a Broadway piece. Whether good person or theatre, that doesn't change his taste.
The ROB ROY is simply a likeable guy. His Scotch makes him Scottish, his wormwood makes him Italian and the bitter makes him special and best you can enjoy straight up.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: opulent and mature, woody notes with smoky notes, a hint of juicy sultanas and morello cherries, herbs and oranges, very fruity and intense, sweet and malty.
Taste: strong and bittersweet, full-bodied with a subtle sweetness, rich in fruit, slightly woody and smoky, with a core of raisins and subtle traces of chocolate and herbs.
Finish: long, with a herbaceous finish, juicy and full-bodied. Total: perfectly balanced, bittersweet.
Contents: Scotch whisky, red wormwood, Aromatic Bitter, 32.7% vol., orange zest, orange oil.
Sizes: 700 ml and 50 ml (test sizes = for 2 cocktails)
Preparation: Pour into a mixing glass filled with ice cubes, stir well and strain into a cocktail tip. Add a Zeste to the drink. To finish, wet the cocktail once with the aroma sprayer.
