Piped Pocket

In a welt pocket or simple piped pocket, the opening is reinforced on one side by an additionally sewn-on, double-layered strip of fabric (placket), which at the same time covers the base of the inside pocket. The welt pocket can be fitted with a button or a button with a loop. The advantage of welt pockets in terms of design is that they are quite inconspicuous and therefore particularly suitable for suit trousers, for example.
