Piqué

Piqué, or pique, is a fabric that is particularly distinguished by its structured surface, which consists of alternating raised and recessed areas (similar to a waffle). It is usually made of cotton, but there are also piqués made of a mixture of 50% cotton and 50% polyester. It is made by a weaving process that creates a top (right side) and a bottom (lining). For this reason, the piqué belongs to the family of double fabrics. Probably the best known garment made of piqué is the polo shirt. However, other garments such as polo sweatshirts, dresses or even home textiles such as towels are also made of this soft, easy-care and indestructible textile.
