Seit Jahrtausenden tragen Menschen Wolle und Filz. Filzschuhe und -stiefel von Glerups werden aus 100% reiner Wolle gefertigt, die von den Schafrassen Gotland-Pelzschaf und Merino stammen. Glerups hat also nicht den Filzschuh erfunden, sondern ein phantastisches Material und ein uraltes Handwerk wiederentdeckt. Bei der Herstellung wird die Wolle nicht chemisch, sondern schonend behandelt – vom Rohstoff bis zum Fertigprodukt. Die Schafe werden zweimal jährlich geschoren. Die Wolle wird in weichem Wasser gewaschen und nach dem Trocknen kardiert (gekämmt), danach wird das Kardband in warmem Seifenwasser zu Stiefeln gefilzt und anschließend Sohlen aus Kalbsleder angeklebt und genäht. Da die Wolle weder chemisch gereinigt noch in anderer Weise behandelt wird, können hin und wieder kleine Pflanzenreste im Filz vorkommen – ein Merkmal der natürlichen Verarbeitung.
Natürliche Materialen, hochwertige Verarbeitung und minimalistisches Design machen diesen Filzschuh so einmalig schön. Der Wollfilz hält die Füße schön warm und reguliert optimal das Fußklima.
Das Modell ohne Fersenkappe erleichtert das unkomplizierte Hineinschlüpfen in den Filzschuh. Die samtige Sohle aus natürlich gegerbtem Kalbsleder wird mit einer dekorativen Steppnaht mit dem Filzschuh verbunden und unterstreicht die einmalig harmonische Silhouette des Glerups. Die verwendete Materialstärke und die zusätzliche Verstärkung im Fersenbereich werden die Freude mit diesem Filzschuh lange erhalten.

For thousands of years people have worn wool and felt for thousands of years. Felt shoes and boots from Glerups are made of 100% pure wool from the sheep breeds Gotland-Pelzschaf and Merino. So Glerups did not invent the felt shoe, but rediscovered a fantastic material and an ancient craft. During production, the wool is not treated chemically, but gently - from the raw material to the finished product. The sheep are shorn twice a year. The wool is washed in soft water and carded (combed) after drying, then the card ribbon is felted into boots in warm soapy water and then calfskin soles are glued on and sewn. Since the wool is neither chemically cleaned nor treated in any other way, small plant residues can occasionally occur in the felt - a characteristic of natural processing.
Natural materials, high-quality workmanship and minimalist design make this felt shoe so uniquely beautiful. The wool felt keeps the feet nice and warm and regulates the foot climate optimally.
The model without heel cap makes it easy to slip into the felt shoe. The velvety sole of naturally tanned calf leather is connected to the felt shoe with a decorative quilting seam and underlines the uniquely harmonious silhouette of the Glerup. The used material thickness and the additional reinforcement in the heel area will keep the joy with this felt shoe for a long time.
