Charlotte Sparre graduated from Elsinore Business School in 1989 and then travelled to France to study for a year at a French business school.
On her return, she trained as a sales and marketing assistant with Scandinavian Airlines.
During this time her interest in fashion developed into a small business making and selling hair clips and bows. One day, when she was on holiday in China, she bought a large quantity of luxurious silk, from which she gradually made scarves. These were so well received by her colleagues that she soon decided to set up her own business and create her own brand.
