The Rusty Nail
Appearances are deceptive and the name irritating, the RUSTY NAIL is anything but rusty. Because whisky is simply contemporary. Always a classic of the Geg. As a classic of opposites, the drink has combined the sweet and the bitter sides of life since 1937 and enjoys great popularity, especially among whisky lovers, thanks to its special aroma.
The perfect balance of scotch and a honey-sweet whisky liqueur is often drunk classically as a digestif and always hits the nail on the head.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: velvety, with an interweaving of Scottish heather honey and vanilla, a touch of citrus fruits, with hints of freshly mown grass and herbs.
Flavour: aromatic, perfectly balanced and slightly astringent, with notes of wood, smoky peat and full-bodied malt, quickly followed by sweetness.
Finish: a slight sweetness fades at the beginning and goes into a smoky finish overall: a tasty, strong drink with a subtle sweetness.
Contents: Scotch whisky, whisky liqueur, 0.7 litres, 39.9% vol., orange zest, orange oil
Sizes: 700 ml and 50 ml (test sizes = for 2 cocktails)
Preparation: Pour into a tumbler glass filled with ice cubes and stir well. Add a Zeste to the drink. To finish, sprinkle the cocktail with the aroma spray once.
