Garment dyeing

The piece-dyeing describes a dyeing process in which the fabric is only dyed after weaving. This method is generally considered to be one of the less complicated dyeing methods as it allows large quantities of raw material to be dyed. In contrast to piece-dyed materials, yarn-dyed materials are used.

Often the garment is produced entirely in the raw material and then dyed as a finished piece in one piece.

piece-dyed - the finished piece (fabric or garment) is dyed in one piece.

yarn-dyed - the yarn is dyed in the colour and then woven into a fabric.
