Nylon

Nylon belongs to the group of polyamides and is considered one of the oldest synthetic fibres. After its patent in 1935, nylon was first used for toothbrushes and dental floss, and then five years later for nylon stockings for the first time.

Due to its silky, smooth surface and high elasticity, nylon has established itself in the fashion industry, especially in the production of stockings and pantyhose.

Due to its good moisture control, nylon is also popular for blouses and shirts.

Care: Nylon is one of the easier materials to care for and can be washed at up to 40°C with a mild detergent. Nylon should never be ironed - danger of fire!
